Singer-songwriter Laura Zucker wins audiences over with a hard-won perspective and a positive spin. The powerful imagery of her songs and stories ring so true you might think she’s read your diary – and you’ll find yourself humming her infectious melodies for days to come.
She’s a two-time finalist in the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk competition in Texas, Falcon Ridge Emerging Artist, 5 time West Coast Songwriters Association Best Song of the Year. With four CD releases to her credit, Laura continues to impress with incisive yet sensitive lyrics, evocative melodies and arrangements that cut straight to the heart.
Alex Coba was the kind of kid that grew up taking naps in his mom’s guitar case. Music was all around him in the South Texas heat along the Rio Grande. He is proof that sometimes a meandering path and a penchant for trying things is the exact right recipe for a soulful songwriter to emerge as boundless as the landscape he grew up around. The Harlingen, Texas area native now based in Houston is releasing his debut album, a literal lifetime in the making for the songwriter whose life story, while still in the making, is undeniable fodder for interesting, moving songs driven by heart, a soulful voice and grounded in strong roots.
