Leviticus 19:1-2 reads “The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Speak to all the congregation of the people of Israel and say to them: You shall be holy, for I the LORD, your God, am holy.” In The Face of God, Part II, Anne will revisit a sermon she gave several years about how each person contains an image of God. She will also talk about difficulties in honoring this Holiness in such divisive times.
Anne True is a long-time member of Thoreau Woods Unitarian Universalist Church. Anne hates cooking, cleaning, sewing and anything having to do with the telephone. She enjoys eating, hiking, reading, traveling and nature watching. When she is not starting and abandoning dozens of household projects, she is reveling in her newfound status as the mother of a college graduate. Her credentials include a B.A. in chemistry from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a Ph.D. also in chemistry from Northwestern University – degrees which in no way shape or form qualify her to speak about religious topics
