We frequently hear someone is a “good Christian”, but what is a “good UU”? Pam will ponder what it means to her, sharing some of her upbringing as a UU. She will review the UU principles, and how they can be applied to everyday life. Her husband James will be providing special UU music for the service.
Pam was raised Unitarian in the Meadville (PA) Unitarian Universalist Church. She attended the Nacogdoches UU Fellowship (now Lufkin) as a young adult and was a member of First Jefferson UU Church in Fort Worth TX from 1984-1994. She moved to Huntsville in 1994 and joined the Huntsville UU Fellowship. Pam’s parents, Joan and Blaine Hinds, are also members of TWUUC.
Pam married James Johnson in 2005, and converted an “anti-organized religion person” into a somewhat UU. Together they have three daughters, two son-in-laws, and eight grandchildren. Pam is a psychotherapist social worker in private practice, and James teaches music at SHSU and has a private music lesson business, Johnson Studio. James & Pam run Thoreau Woods Coffeehouse.
