I tell of my “Religious Experiences” with the bold and intimate appearances of butterflies soon after the death of family members and friends. I also relate the Mexican celebration of All Saints Day or the Day of the Dead which they associate with the fall migration of the Monarch butterflies, filling the forest by the millions and according to Mexican folklore represent the visitation of lost souls.
George Ensle (pronounced Enslee) is a veteran Texas Singer/Songwriter who began his career in Houston in the late 60’s sharing stages with legends Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark and Billy Joe Shaver. He has since created his own fingerpicking style of Texas Country Folk Storysongs about real people making it in the real world. He has won numerous songwriting awards, been awarded Government grants to teach songwriting, and released 6 albums/CDs in the US and Europe, including a Movie–in-Song CD, “Small Town Sundown”, based on his original story, set in small town Texas.
